What actually happens

Applying has become a full-time job

The market does not reward those who apply the most, but those who apply well. The trouble is that applying well takes time nobody has.

You retype the same details over and over

Name, email, phone, career history, degrees. The same form, again. By the tenth application of the week, attention drops and mistakes creep in.

Your resume stays the same, the postings do not

A generic resume gets filtered out and rarely convinces. Tailoring it posting by posting is the right answer — but that is thirty minutes you will not spend.

Good postings vanish from your history

A posting spotted between two meetings, a tab closed too fast, and it is gone. You no longer know where you applied, or when.

The maths nobody does

What one application really costs you

Take one careful application, done by hand, on a typical careers site.
The breakdown is sobering.

Reading the posting and pulling out what it expects 10 min
Tailoring the resume to the role 20 min
Writing a letter that speaks to this company 25 min
Filling in the form and its open questions 15 min
For a single application 1 h 10
The full loop

Four moves, in the tab you are already in

The extension opens a side panel next to the posting. Everything happens there — no copy-pasting, no switching windows.

  1. Open the panel on the posting

One click on the JobTactics icon. The extension reads the page and recognises the job posting on it.

  2. Save it to your applications

The posting joins your tracker with its title, company and link. You immediately see a match score.

  3. Generate the resume and letter

Two buttons. The documents are written from your profile and this specific posting, then exported as PDF.

  4. Fill in the form

The extension fills the factual fields and suggests answers to open questions. You review, you approve, you send.

It reads the posting, whatever the site

The site does not need to be « supported ». The extension reads the posting on screen, whatever the page — and when nothing is usable, it analyses the text.

  • Structured data recognised automatically
  • Dedicated reading for LinkedIn Jobs and Indeed
  • Text analysis as a last resort
  • A match score appears straight away

Documents written for this posting

From the captured posting and your profile, the extension generates a tailored resume and a cover letter. You follow the progress in the panel, then export as PDF.

  1. Loading your profile
  2. Analysing the posting
  3. Optimising the content
  4. Writing the document
  5. Finalising

The form fills itself, you stay in control

The extension spots the form fields and fills those that match your profile. It never touches anything you have already entered.

Visible and empty fields only

What you have already typed is never overwritten. Hidden or read-only fields are ignored.

Field labels recognised in six languages

Name, email, phone, address, city, postcode, country, LinkedIn, website: eleven details recognised, whatever the language of the form.

Open questions are never filled on their own

« Why this company? » does not answer itself. A small JobTactics icon appears on the field; click it and you get two suggested answers, to insert or regenerate. The decision stays yours.

Works with demanding forms

Values are entered as if you typed them, so recruitment portals register them properly.

An honest summary

Once filling is done, a panel reports how many fields were filled, how many open questions were detected, and how many fields were left untouched.

LinkedIn

Your LinkedIn profile, imported then reworked

Two distinct uses, with the same rule: nothing is changed on LinkedIn, and nothing is written to your JobTactics profile without your approval.

Import your profile

Your career history is retrieved and shown on a review screen: twelve sections, each to merge, replace or keep. You see what will be added and what will be removed before approving. Only your own profile can be imported.

Optimise your profile

A free diagnosis points out what is holding your profile back. The optimisation then proposes seven rewritten sections, side by side with your current text, with a character counter for each LinkedIn limit. You copy what you keep.

The extension never writes to LinkedIn: you are the one who copies the text you decide to keep.

Let us be clear

What this extension does not do

Plenty of tools promise to apply on your behalf. Ours is built on the opposite principle: speed up your work without ever deciding for you.

  • It never applies on your behalf
  • It sends nothing without you
  • It does not scrape job boards in bulk
  • It never changes your LinkedIn profile
Day to day

The details that make you keep it

An extension you install then uninstall was no use at all. This one is built to stay open throughout your search.

Secure sign-in

Email and password, Google or LinkedIn, with two-factor authentication if your account uses it.

Desktop alerts

When new postings match an alert, a notification tells you and the icon shows the count.

Search from the address bar

Type « jt » then your query in the address bar to launch a job search.

Credit balance in view

Your balance is always on screen and updates after every operation, with top-up a click away.

Several profiles

A career change, two target roles: switch active profile without leaving the panel.

Six languages and two themes

The interface comes in French, English, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese, in light or dark theme.

Installation

Fifteen seconds, then you forget about it

Nothing to configure: sign in, and the panel is waiting on the next posting.

  1. Add the extension

From the Chrome Web Store or the Edge Add-ons catalogue.

  2. Pin the icon

So it is always at hand in your browser toolbar.

  3. Open a posting

One click on the icon opens the side panel. That is all.

Works with Chrome and Edge (Chrome 114 or newer).

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us before installing

Does the extension cost anything?

Installing and using the extension is free, and saving a posting is free at launch too. Only operations that produce a document — generating a resume, a cover letter, a LinkedIn optimisation — use credits from your account. The cost is shown on the button before you start the operation, never after.

What does the extension do with my browsing data?

It only reads a page when you click its icon, and only the page you have open. There is no background reading of your tabs, no history collected, and your data is neither sold nor passed to third parties.

Does it work on my target company's application site?

Filling works on standard web forms, including those of the major recruitment portals. Fields are identified from their labels, not from a preset list of sites. On an unusual form, unrecognised fields are simply left empty — and the summary tells you so.

What about Firefox or Safari?

Not yet. The extension is currently available for Chrome and Edge only. We would rather say so plainly than let you install it for nothing.

Do I need a JobTactics account?

Yes. The extension works from your profile — career history, skills, experience — to produce documents that sound like you. Creating an account is free.

How do I uninstall it?

Right-click its icon, then « Remove from Chrome ». Your documents and applications stay in your account: uninstalling the extension deletes nothing.

Which languages does it work in?

The interface is available in French, English, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese. Form filling recognises field labels in those six languages.

Are my credentials safe?

Your session is handled with short-lived access tokens, renewed automatically, and two-factor authentication is supported if your account uses it. Your credentials never pass through the pages you visit.

The next posting you open

You can deal with it in one hour and ten minutes, or in a few. The difference comes down to one installation.
