About this template
The Deco Executive template is a senior letter in restrained Art Deco grammar: ivory paper, burnished-gold monogram cartouche centred at the top, Caslon body. A nod to Wall Street letterheads of the late twenties, never sliding into Gatsby costume. Compatible with the ATS systems of heritage banks and luxury-hospitality groups (Workday at Lazard, BNP Paribas Wealth Management, Forte Hotels; Oracle Taleo at The Plaza, The Ritz Paris, Hôtel de Crillon).
Who is it for?
It suits senior executives applying to investment banks, white-shoe law firms, vintage luxury hotels (The Connaught, The Savoy, Le Bristol, Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc), classic-car auction houses (RM Sotheby's, Bonhams Motorcars, Artcurial Motorcars) and high-end private clubs. Managing directors, partners and senior advisers targeting organisations with patrimonial flavour. Out of place in contemporary tech or modern start-ups.
How to use it
The monogram cartouche carries your two initials (first name + last name) in burnished gold — never replace it with a personal logo or emoji. The Caslon body stays justified, lateral margins reach 35 mm to preserve the deco cadence. The opening hook can cite a specific patrimonial reference (a vintage, a Ruhlmann commission, a foundation) provided the next sentence pivots to a quantified achievement. A handwritten signature in midnight-blue ink, scanned at 600 dpi, completes the register.
Frequently asked questions
Should the monogram show my initials or a personal logo?
Your initials only, in first-name-last-name order, in burnished gold (Pantone 871). A corporate logo is out of place — the letter is personal, not commercial. Avoid crossed or interlaced monograms that visually date to 1920 rather than 1930.
Is the letter suitable for a Lazard or Quilvest spontaneous application?
Yes for senior advisory roles (M&A, generational succession, family advisory). For trading, sales and trading or capital markets, choose letter-exec-meridian or letter-exec-tower, which replace the ornamental signature with a more contemporary geometry.
Should I print the letter on textured paper?
If you hand-deliver the letter at a final interview, yes — ivory stock 120-140 gsm, Conqueror Wove or similar. For an email PDF, the digital render is calibrated to reproduce the ivory effect on screen and on standard A4 or Letter stock.
