About this template
The ATS Tape Binder template uses an amber handwritten typography with decorative tape strips at the top and bottom of the document, in a craft scrapbook register. The tape strips are CSS divs with amber background-color and transform: rotate(-3deg) — they do not appear in the PDF text layer. Compatible with Workday, Greenhouse and the ATS used by creative agencies, craft brands and DIY marketplaces.
Who is it for?
It suits creative and craft profiles: illustrators, art directors, DIY designers, art craftspeople (ceramicists, woodworkers, blacksmiths, glassblowers), creators at craft brands, editorial profiles in children's books and art books, brand designers at Etsy, Minted, Society6, RedBubble, Uncommon Goods, as well as candidates for artistic residencies (Skowhegan, MacDowell, Yaddo, Headlands, MASS MoCA).
How to use it
Structure the document around three blocks: Achievements (client projects, collections, exhibitions, limited editions), Awards and residencies (prizes, grants, fair selections), Education and techniques. For art craftspeople, mention techniques mastered (raku, woodturning, marquetry, glassblowing, blacksmithing), apprenticeships and master craftspeople worked under. Always attach a separate portfolio PDF with 8-12 flagship pieces — the CV remains a narrative document.
Frequently asked questions
Do the tape strips break ATS parsing?
No. The tape strips are CSS divs with background-color: amber, opacity and transform: rotate(-3deg) — they have no text content. Workday (used by craft brands subsidiaries), Greenhouse (Etsy, Minted) and Bamboo HR (Society6, Uncommon Goods) parse the document as a linear text flow. The craft rendering remains for the human eye.
Compatible with craft brand and creative marketplace ATS?
Yes. Greenhouse (Etsy, Minted, Society6), Bamboo HR (RedBubble, Uncommon Goods), Workable (smaller craft brands), Lever (DTC craft brands) and SmartRecruiters parse this template without incident. Craft techniques (raku, marquetry, blacksmithing, glassblowing, woodworking) and distinctions (American Craft Council, NCECA, Penland, Pilchuck) are indexed.
Suitable for art crafts and craft brands?
Yes, that is its primary target. The scrapbook register signals your creative universe immediately to creative directors and DIY brand founders. For art craftspeople, mention the training studio, apprenticeships, reference master craftspeople and distinctions (American Craft Council Awards, NICHE Awards). For illustrators, list publishers worked with and books illustrated with ISBN.
