About this template

The ATS Card Sections template is a professional CV with an ATS layout in Roboto where each section sits inside a soft slate-grey card. Hierarchy is immediate at first glance and every keyword stays in plain text for parsing — no icons, no overlapping decorations. The format clears the Workday, SuccessFactors, Greenhouse, Lever and iCIMS ATS used by procurement, marketing, operations and internal consulting functions at large enterprises (Microsoft, Salesforce, Oracle, Deloitte Consulting, Accenture, PwC Strategy&).

Who is it for?

It suits mid-level to senior profiles in consulting, project management, marketing and operations who need clear visual segmentation without breaking ATS compatibility. The card structure helps a recruiter scan a dense career path (8-12 years, 4-6 employers) while every keyword still parses cleanly. Particularly adapted to IT project managers, product marketing managers, directors of operations and management consultants moving in-house (Google Strategy & Operations, Amazon Strategy, Microsoft Modern Workplace).

How to use it

Four blocks structure the document — Roles held (one card per role, strict reverse chronology), Technical skills (by category: tools, methodologies, certifications), Education, Languages. For each role, follow the triplet context / achievements / outcomes with 3-4 bullets per card. Avoid more than 5 bullets per card: the grid loses readability. For 12+ year profiles, condense older roles into 1-2 lines in a single « Prior experience » card. Long-tail: « senior project manager CV », « management consultant resume template », « director of operations CV », « product marketing manager resume », « VP operations enterprise CV ».

Frequently asked questions

How many cards maximum across 2 pages?

Six to eight main cards on page 1 (Profile, Experience, Education, Skills, Certifications, Languages) and 4-6 additional cards on page 2 (Cross-functional projects, Publications, Pro-bono engagements, Measured interests). Beyond 12 cards in total the document becomes unreadable — consolidate into broader thematic cards rather than fragment into mini-cards.

How do I prevent the cards from breaking ATS parsing?

The template uses pure CSS cards (no tables, no images, no SVG in the body): ATS parsers read the text directly without encountering out-of-spec markup. After PDF export, verify with copy-paste that every keyword renders as plain text. If text appears jumbled on copy-paste, the ATS parser will behave the same way.

Does the template work for a junior profile (0-3 years)?

No — the card structure is built for dense career paths that must be visually hierarchised. For a junior, prefer a single-column narrative template (such as ATS Centered Name or ATS Elegant Rules) that allows each experience to be developed without diluting the material into 4 cards. Cards reward density; on a junior CV they underline thinness of content.
