About this template

The House Style template simulates a corporate house style: full-width navy header, name in Suisse Int'l Bold sans-serif, Lyon Text body. Reads as internal correspondence already on the company letterhead — assured insider register. Compatible with the ATS systems of the Big Four and global corporates (Workday at Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY; Workday at the corporate divisions of JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, AXA, Allianz).

Who is it for?

It suits senior executives applying to large multinationals, Big Four firms, top-tier consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) and global insurance groups (AXA, Allianz, Generali, Munich Re, Swiss Re). C-level executives, partners and managing directors who want the letter to read as native to the recipient. Out of place in creative agencies, boutique start-ups or contexts where the corporate code would read as foreign.

How to use it

The navy band runs full width and contains only your name — no tagline, no job title. The recipient block aligns right at one-third page width, as in Workday internal correspondence. The hook avoids the long opening ("I am writing to apply") and enters the subject directly ("Following our discussion of 12 March"). The Lyon Text body stays justified with hyphenation on — this detail signals the letter wasn't generated by a generic template.

Frequently asked questions

Should I adapt the navy band to the target company's colour?

No. The template navy is deliberately generic-corporate so it doesn't mimic the recipient's brand — overt mimicry reads as awkward. If you are applying to a consulting client you know well, cite two or three internal codes in the body instead.

Does the letter parse Big Four Workday pipelines?

Yes. The Suisse Int'l type is embedded with Helvetica Neue fallback. The navy band is rendered as an image layer over the text layer, leaving Workday and SuccessFactors parsing intact at Deloitte, KPMG, EY and PwC.

Is it suitable for a consulting partner application?

Yes for internal promotions from director to partner. For an external lateral move from one partner role to another, choose letter-exec-meridian or letter-exec-savile-row, which replace the internal corporate code with a more personal signature.
