About this template

The Italy template is an Italian Curriculum Vitae in Garamond on two A4 pages, with the D.lgs. 196/2003 privacy clause and the GDPR consent line printed in the footer. Sober header with photo on the right, Italian date format and a thin bordeaux rule. Suits English-speaking candidates targeting Milan, Rome, Turin and Bologna.

Who is it for?

It fits candidates targeting Italy — Milan (banking, fashion, consulting), Rome (public administration, healthcare, media), Turin (FCA-Stellantis automotive, industry), Bologna (mechanical SMEs, agribusiness) — in banking (Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit, Mediobanca), fashion houses (Gucci, Prada, Armani, Versace, Valentino), mechanical industry (Pirelli, Brembo, Iveco, Ferrari), public administration and family SMEs. Profiles where the privacy footer is mandatory and where the recruiter still expects the photo and full date of birth.

How to use it

The header includes name, date and place of birth, city, photo (upper right, passport format). The footer carries the mandatory clause: « Autorizzo il trattamento dei dati personali ai sensi del D.lgs. 196/2003 e del Regolamento UE 2016/679 (GDPR) — signature and date ». Reverse chronology. Italian date format: « giugno 2024 » or « 06/2024 ». For an Italian banking role, mention certifications (ESMA, EFA) and Albo Unico Consulenti Finanziari registration if applicable. For fashion, list houses worked with and collections referenced.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Italian GDPR footer clause really mandatory?

Yes for almost all Italian employers — its omission can lead to automatic CV rejection by HR services out of legal caution. The standard wording combines reference to D.lgs. 196/2003 (Italian « Codice Privacy ») and the European GDPR. Sign and date in the footer — that is the expected convention.

Should I anglicise or italianise job titles?

Italianise when equivalence is clear: « Project manager » remains « Project Manager » (commonly used in Italian tech/finance) or « Responsabile di Progetto » (administration). « Intern » becomes « Tirocinante » or « Stagista ». Keep in English unique titles (« Énarque » without translation, explained in parenthesis).

How many pages?

Two pages standard for an experienced to senior profile. Three pages tolerated for a profile with long publication list, patents or fashion/luxury projects with referenced collections. One page remains rare in Italy and signals a junior.
